So many people thought that the Supremes originally did it! I used to get hit up with this when I worked at the record shop…now I can say they actually did a good job on their version, but the Toys had the more popular one. Great find! Diana sounds soooo young! Thanks for getting this one up!
Love those original gals, I grew up hearing their music, too bad there is no comparison today with the talent in their voices. Great memories. Thanks gals for making my evening and day.
Minuet in G by Bach…a lover’s concerto, I love this song!
but the motown sound is always unique. i like the upbeat version
and that great horn section!
I love this song!
Flo was so beautiful. x
@MeetTheSupremes I have to agree with him.. they swap CLOUDS for FLOWERS… the pace is too fast
best version ever. makes the original sound amateurish.
finally got the lp and the out of print cd
great music from the past! greetings from the Philippines!
Karina, a spanish singer made the cover in Spanish, also is nice song!
I never heard this version. I guess I didn’t know they ever did it as well. It’s nice!
I love and enjoy both versions
@MeetTheSupremes in order to do that he would have to go listen to minuet in G. I find it fascinating how in rock n roll you can find melodies and rythms taken from Classical music, in this case it’s slightly modified. However it isn’t alway’s easy to spot them. My music appreciation teacher mentioned this song when we were learning about Bach, had she not said something I probably never would have guessed.
then you might also be a fan of minuet in g
Video great, wish the originals would of made one, but its all good
One of the best girl groups ever, and this must be up their with their most awesome songs from that era.
