Video review of the Toys R Us Exclusive Commemorative Edition “Perceptor”
Perceptor is a scientist, one of the most astute minds the whole of Cybertron can offer. He is perpetually seeking the continued quest for knowledge, and his discoveries have repeatedly proven invaluable. Though his specialties lie in metallurgy, electrical engineering, and additional sciences closely concomitant to Transformer physiology, his thirst for knowledge has made him kind of a scientific jack-of-all-trades. One of Perceptor’s most infamous mannerisms is the tendency in which he verbally communicates using scientific terminology. This has the unforeseen result of exasperating and occasionally frustrating his comrades. One might hypothesize that the jovial mechanoid is unaware that not everyone with whom he seeks to communicate shares his extensive vocabulary. Engaging in physical melee is not his preferred activity. He is content to make his contributions to the Autobot cause in the manner in which he deems sufficient, but will engage in combat if the situation requires. Optimus Prime often relies on Perceptor’s perspicacity, and considers him as inestimable as any of his officers.
In the g1 cartoon his shoulder cannon was on his left side.
@ernestoagosto1 Perceptor, Ultra Magnus and a few other G1 toys actually looked great.
Heh, I had a G1 Perceptor and back then he was advertised as a working microscope. The instructions from back then identified his second mode as a mobile laboratory; not a tank.
I would love to get Perceptor but I only really enjoy collecting the Decepticons. I want the Gen 1 collection but I cant get them.
But the Insecticons are just as good 
@optibotimus Thats what i allways think! How can you have the awesome looking figures of today, without first going through the horrible looking figures from the past. Altough not all of them were horrible.
@optibotimus Im more woried bout my Chicago Black Hawks aniversary jersey that dont exesit, I can find a g1 figure but I cant find that jersey.
@Rolltron FYI…without these figures…the new figures would never exist. Have a little respect for the ORIGINALS
I glad I didnt buy that thing. That and the Insecticons sat around for months at my local store. G1 figures are lame if you really look at them, they were cool 20 years ago but they dont have shit on the new figures.

Paul, I have the G1 Preceptor in so-so condition, some paint wear and loose joints. Should I buy this one?
on mine his missile launcher dosent fire the missiles
i saw him a few days ago but instead of getting him i got countdown
if you want an articulated custom preceptor, then cut off sideswipes horns and glue a laser pointer on his shoulder;note this is a non-transforming toy!
correct me if i’m wrong but whenever percepter fights, he is in robot mode and uses his gun and transforms into his microscope to do a synopsis as a medic.

i know a way to make the missles in the launcher hold in place but not fire. you put the missle,push the trigger .and it might hold. i just found this today
just make an actual classics of him!not just a g1 re-issue!
ok i stand corrected, he may not be The First triple changer, but is the first autobot triple changer. if you watch the episode microbots, he actually uses his “tank” mode after disconecting the heart of cybertron.
Astrotrain and Blitzwing were out before Perceptor.
